Law Enforcement Policy

This policy explains how Fansilo LLC handles requests from government and law enforcement authorities relating to Fansilo.io. We handle requests according to applicable law and valid legal process. The law enforcement contact email below is a configurable placeholder.
1. Valid Government Requests
We respond to requests from government and law enforcement authorities that are made through valid legal process appropriate to the information sought.
2. Subpoenas
We may provide certain non-content account information in response to a valid subpoena, to the extent required by applicable law.
3. Court Orders
We may provide information in response to a valid court order, to the extent required by applicable law.
4. Warrants
We may provide information, including content where applicable, in response to a valid warrant issued on the required legal showing.
5. Emergency Requests
We may review good-faith emergency requests that involve a risk of death or serious physical harm and may disclose information we believe is necessary to help prevent that harm. We do not promise automatic disclosure.
6. Data Preservation Requests
We may honor valid requests to preserve specified account information for a limited period pending valid legal process.
7. Disclosure Required by Law
We disclose information where we are required to do so by applicable law or valid legal process. We do not guarantee disclosure in the absence of valid legal process.
8. Legal Review
We review requests to confirm they are valid, appropriately scoped, and legally sufficient before responding, and we may object to or narrow requests that are overbroad or defective.
9. Jurisdiction
We evaluate requests in light of applicable jurisdiction and law. Requests from outside the applicable jurisdiction may need to follow appropriate legal channels.
10. User Notification
We may notify affected users of a request for their information where permitted by law, unless we are legally prohibited or believe notice would be counterproductive, for example in matters involving safety or ongoing investigations. We do not promise that users will always be notified.
11. Child-Safety and Serious Criminal Matters
Matters involving child safety or serious criminal conduct are treated as high priority and may be handled and reported as required or permitted by applicable law.
12. Cooperation with Authorities
We cooperate with authorities when legally required, consistent with applicable law and valid legal process.
13. Submitting Requests
Law enforcement officials may submit requests to lawenforcement@fansilo.io (configurable placeholder). Requests should identify the relevant account, the specific information sought, and the legal basis.
